How Much Does a Small Business Website Cost in Houston?

A small business website in Houston can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars for a single page to $25,000 or more for a custom build. One Houston agency's 2026 guide puts a simple template site at about $1,000 to $3,000, a professional small-business site at about $3,000 to $8,000, and custom, e-commerce or integration-heavy projects at $8,000 to $25,000 or more. Where you land depends on how many pages you need, who writes the words and what the site has to connect to.

What drives cost

Five things that move the price.

Number of pages

Every page has to be planned, written, designed and tested. A one-page site and a 20-page site with a page for each service and city are very different jobs.

Copywriting

Writing clear words is a big part of the work. If you hand over finished text, it costs less. If the designer writes every page, expect that in the price.

Integrations

Connecting to booking calendars, CRMs, payment tools, email marketing or online ordering takes setup and testing, and each one adds cost.

E-commerce

An online store needs product pages, a cart, payments, shipping and taxes. The more products and options, the more work.

Ongoing care

Some quotes include updates and fixes after launch. Others stop the day the site goes live. Ask which one you're getting.

After launch

What you'll keep paying for.

  • Domain renewal: a small yearly fee to keep your web address, ideally registered in your name
  • Hosting: what keeps your site online, billed monthly or yearly, sometimes bundled with a site builder
  • Maintenance: updates, fixes and search improvements, either as you need them or on a monthly plan

When you compare quotes, ask what's included after launch and what you'll pay separately. A cheaper build can cost more over time if every small change is a new invoice.

Spend less

How to keep the cost down.

  • Start with the pages you need now and add more later
  • Have your services, photos and reviews ready before work starts
  • Only pay for connections you'll actually use
  • Make sure you own your domain and your site, so you're never stuck

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

How much does a basic website cost in Houston?+

Creole Studios' 2026 Houston guide puts a simple template site at about $1,000 to $3,000 and a professional small-business site at about $3,000 to $8,000. My one-page site is $300, for one page only.

What's the difference between a one-page site and a full website?+

A one-page site puts everything a customer needs on a single page. A full website has separate pages for each service, area or product, which helps you show up for more searches but costs more to build.

Do I have to pay every year?+

Usually yes, for your domain and hosting. Maintenance is optional but worth planning for, since sites need updates as your business and search engines change.

Can I start small and upgrade later?+

Yes. Many businesses start with one page and add pages or tools as they grow. With me, upgrades are quoted separately before any work starts.

Why do website quotes vary so much?+

Quotes cover very different amounts of work. Page count, who writes the words, integrations, e-commerce and what happens after launch all change the price. Ask each designer to list exactly what's included.
